Want to know more about Southlakes Ecclesia?

Well, individually, we’re a mixed bag. Professionals and students, parents and kids, people from all walks of life. But we are all brought together by our shared search for a faith built on the solid foundation of the Bible.

So as a group, we’re the Southlakes Ecclesia: a family. We share meals, run youth activities, head out on bushwalks and camps, and support one another through life’s ups and downs. But above all, we strive to centre our lives around the Bibles message and Christ’s example: to love God wholeheartedly and to care for others with compassion and grace.

What We Do

  • Memorial Meeting

    In Remembrance of Jesus

    Each Sunday we gather to remember the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We sing hymns, pray together and listen to some prepared thoughts, leading us in remembrance of his selfless act. All are welcome to come, listen, and reflect on the hope we share.

  • Bible Class

    Exploring the Bible

    Join us Wednesdays at 7:30pm as we explore a Bible topic, character, theme, or book together. It’s a space to think, to ask questions, and be encourage. So come along, bring a Bible, and discover how its message still speaks today.

  • Activities

    Faith Meets Friendship

    On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, we often host a range of activities. From shared meals to group outings. These accessible and inclusive activities are designed to spark friendships and build each other up.

What We Believe

  • There is one true God, the Creator of all things.

    He is eternal, all-powerful, and reveals Himself through the Bible, which is His inspired word.

  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God

    He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died to save us from sin, and rose again to give us hope of eternal life.

  • Humanity is mortal and in need of salvation

    Because of sin, we all die—but through Christ, God offers forgiveness and the hope of everlasting life.

  • Salvation comes through belief, baptism, and a faithful life

    God calls us to respond to His message through faith, immersion in water, and a life of obedience to His ways.

  • Jesus will return to establish God’s Kingdom on earth

    He will raise the dead, judge the living and the dead, and reign as king from Jerusalem over a restored world.

  • Striving to live by Christ’s commandments

    Our calling is to meet regularly, read Gods word and encourage one another, as we wait for his coming kingdom.
